Creevin
Name: The Contested Territory of Creevin
Military: the Gwyldyfin
Population: 50,660,000
Capital: Invevenverta
Nationality: Creevish (noun and adjective)
Climate: Varied, mostly temperate with abundant rainfall to the south and west; north east drier and warmer. Mild winters except in regions by adjacent to Leitrom.
Terrain: mostly forested hills and valleys, some grasslands; hotter and drier to the northeast.
Notes of Interest: For centuries, Creevin has been proud of her trench highways - the Suddigffyrdd - and rightfully so. These sunken roads and tunnels are a construction marvel, and make ground transportation around the country much faster and safer than in other nations. Denying the Arnyaran aggressors access to the Suddigffyrdd has cost the Creevish dearly to date, and continued success, given the fractious nature of contemporary Creevish politics, is anything but guaranteed.
Recent History: Creevin has long been victimized by the avarice and treachery of her neighboring kingdoms and countries. The Coftyran Empire, the Hovdaen, Ehn’k’du, and even the Arnyarans of old - they have all at one time or another held much of Creevin’s territory, and quar, in thrall. Alykinder and the Crusaders promised to end that long, sad history, but the inexplicable removal of support by Campryg Loeck has left Creevin open to further depredations by Arnyara, Easky, and anyone strong enough to carve out a piece of territory. As of 1781, no fewer than five different armies march across the country, and further divisions among the Creevish population complicate the situation even further. Pro-Crusade Creevish fight Pro-Royalist and pro-Independence Creevish; pro-Arnyaran, pro-Easkovite, and pro-Leitromer factions also exist. Of any nation on Alwyd, Creevin is currently the most-divided, and most dangerous.
The Trench Watch
In these troubled times for Creevin most able-bodied quar have taken up arms, in uniform or not. These ad-hoc and militia units garrison towns and crossroads along the Suddigffyrdd. However, the main fighting force of Creevin is still the Trench Watch. Their numbers are dwindling but those that remain are hardened veterans held back only by the weight of the forces arranged against them and their increasing lack of supply.
A Trench Watch unit typically is stationed at a relay town or other outpost along the Suddigffyrdd and is responsible for many miles of trench-highway. They are a fast and nimble force that utilizes many scouting elements to track enemy formations. The relative safety of the Suddigffyrdd allows them to maneuver unmolested in the face of enemy attack and to come out of the trench-highway to attack where it is most advantageous to the Watch.
The Gun Wagon
The Creevish Tractor Corp has long relied on decades old models of tractor such as the Mogyn and Anfyr. These older models have allowed the Gwyldyfin to standardize on a supply chain that can cover Creevin's vast territory and has allowed field repairs to be quick and common. However these older tractors have not stood up well against the modernized speed of Easky's tractors nor the Western Arnyaran Iron Houses.
The Gyb-och gun wagon is a fairly modern design (1764) and has received a lot of focus these last years from Creevin's remaining arms factories. The Gyb-och is designed to operate on the great plains of Creevin rather than down below in the trench highways. Its relatively low profile and fast turret has allowed it to be a deadly tractor-hunter with many Gyb-ochs receiving upgrades to rifled barrels and non-explosive munitions for the express purpose of hunting Iron Houses in western Creevin. Technically turning the Gyb-och into Fighting rather than Gun wagons, these modification are quickly being rolled out to the remaining wagons Gyb-ochs when refit, and supply, are possible.

Faction Focus: Fidwog

Fidwog
Name: The Royal Kingdom of Fidwog
Military: The Fraedarl
Total Population: 50,990,000 (including ~6 million refugees)
Terrain: Various, including Narrow coastal plains in the north, wide coastal plains and wet temperate forest to the east, mountainous karst to the west, and rugged mountains with narrow valleys in the central areas of the country. Extensive mudflats along northern coast.
Nationality:
Fidwogger(s)
Fidwoggian
Notes of Interest: Fidwog boasts the most extensive underground presence in all of Alwyd. Quar are born diggers, but the Fidwoggers have taken this natural tendency to the extreme. Mine shafts and tunnels, underground quarries and reservoirs, even whole towns and villages have been hewn from the stony earth beneath Fidwog's rugged surface.
Recent History: Despite being blockaded and subjected to regular Crusader attacks over the past decade, Fidwog suffered comparatively light casualties. Most of her war dead came from expeditionary forces outside the kingdom and naval sallies against the besieging Crusader fleets. During the Crusade, and despite Tok’s best efforts, Fidwog’s population swelled by over six million as Royalists and anti-Crusaders from all across the eastern Continent fled to safety there.
As the Crusade seemed to falter in recent years, Fidwog has redoubled her efforts to fill the void Tok’s sudden and curious inaction has caused. To this end, the Fraedarl Overseas Department was created, to provide succor and armed assistance wherever the need might arise. Fidwoggian spies and asymmetrical warfare experts infiltrated a dozen kingdoms, sabotaging vital wartime production, training thousands of partisans in the art of guerilla war, and generally causing trouble. In 1781, the opportunity to really stretch its legs came to the Department when Arnyara launched its invasion of Creevin. Volunteers from the regular Fraedarl were transferred to the Department and embarked onto civilian airships and steamers and sent west; heavier equipment, and cavalry, would rendezvous with them en route.
MorfydArmored Carriage and FOD Organization
The Morfyd is a transport originally designed for major crusader operations on the South Eastern plains of Creevin. Mothballed for almost a decade after Creevin collapsed, until the Fidwogger Overseas Department forces landed in Creevin early last year.
The Morfyd was designed to cross a few hundred yards of no-quar’s land and come crashing into enemy trench systems with rhyflers assaulting out of the sides into the enemy trenchworks. The Fiddies, however, have commandeered several hundred of the tractors and have been using them in their campaigns in the Creevish countryside. Instead of crossing hundreds of yards the Morfyds have been criss crossing over hundreds of miles. The Morfyds have proven quite robust. Because the heavy treads were designed to soak up HMG and HSG fire as the tractor crossed through the mud and shelling, they can travel the soft plains for great distance with very little maintenance.
They travel not much faster than walking speed but there are plenty of scouts on gwylons and Fynrydhad tractors to screen and scout. At night the convoys of Morfyd circle up wherever they may be on the sea of grasslands, lighting some fires, chugging some ale and discussing the latest rumors and scuttlebutt over beetle cakes.
The Gwylon
Native to the karst fields and broken scablands of western Fidwog, the Gwylon is a strange, unpleasant animal. Standing just slightly taller than the average quar, this biped features a curved, hunched posture and a long, fur-less tail. This tail, combined with it’s exceedingly strong hind legs, sharp front teeth, and eternally annoyed attitude makes the gwylon a dangerous mount indeed, but the Fidwoggers have been training them as livestock for millenia. Propelled by its oversized hind legs, the gwylon can run for distances that would cripple, or kill outright, even the most robust cadier, and at a faster pace. They are also much more efficient grazers, requiring far less food be transported to support them. Fidwoggian farriers do not shoe their rear feet, as gwylons are not true ungulates, but must periodically file down their ever-growing front teeth and the claws that have evolved in place of feet on their front legs, both to protect the animal and anyone around it. Gwylons are extremely territorial and difficult to control under the best of circumstances; for this reason, most cavalry wedges that utilize these beasts ride only males, leaving the females far behind to prevent additional complications. Female gwylons require frequent milking, and failure to do so can result in fatal mastitis. Though the raw milk is inedible to quar, cooked and fermented gwylon milk has long been a staple alcoholic beverage of Fidwoggian shepherds.
Updates and the Taru!

Price sheet has been updated with Snypers and Elites. Some WIP images coming soon!
Our next Faction Focus will be on Fidwog. Should be up tonight or in the morning.
Our next stretch goal: The Taru!
The Taru is a common beast of burden in Creevin and Maer Braech. Used for towing artillery or wagons full of picked crops, plowing fields or carting stockpiles of ammunition. Fighting in Creevin means utilizing the taru so all factions use them to one degree or another. We'll build some specific Creevish Trench Watch models as well as generics to use with all other factions. The digital models are roughed out and should be done soon. (See below for the WIP rough models.)
